Happy Family

Want to be happier? Help Someone:  While we often think that we will be happier when we receive, the truth is we are happier when we give. This is also one of the most difficult things to apply. You can apply this by finding someone in need and lending a helping hand. The person could be your family, a friend, or even a stranger. You could also donate to a charity.

Many consider stem cell therapy the future of medicine. A stem cell can rebuild or create new cells in tissues, even in organ tissues other than those from which they had originally existed. They could be considered seeds for growing body tissues. They are mostly able to function for cellular repair and growth no matter what organ is in need of repair or healing from chronic inflammation. There is a considerable controversy surrounding stem cell therapy research and much of it has to do with not differentiating between adult stem cell therapy (ASCT) and embryonic stem cell therapy (ESCT). ESCT is the controversial one because it creates stem cells from terminated or aborted fetuses and the stem cells can grow too fast in an adult’s body which creates other medical problems, but it can be patented by the pharmaceutical companies. With ASCT, they extract the stem cells from the patient’s own adipose tissue and inject them into areas where that same patient needs repair which cannot be patented. Many other nations have been using ASCT successfully over the past 15 years, leaving the USA dead last in this field. The FDA is trying to make sure it stays that way and allows costly pharmaceutical versions to prevail.

Kickboxing has been shown to improve fitness, power, flexibility and agility. It also torches a  lot of calories. In seniors, kickboxing improves both types of balance that the body requires (anticipatory and reactive) and better balance reduces risk of falls or muscle weakness. If you’re a newbie, start slow, and you’ll get the most benefits in the end.

Growing pains are described as an intermittent and annoying pain or ache that is often localized in the muscles of the legs and thighs of children. Medical care recommends supportive treatment in the form of heat, massage and Vitamin C. Among chiropractors, the care of the pediatric patient with growing pains is not uncommon.  Clinical example: A 3 yr old boy had complaints of leg pain and lower back pain as well as feet pain, headaches and recent bedwetting. No prior treatment had been rendered except for his parents massaging his legs. Chiropractic adjustments were applied to areas of vertebral subluxations (spinal misalignments). There were 15 chiropractic visits over a 13-week period. After one visit, the patient did not complain of leg pain for three days. After 7 visits, the boy was sleeping through the night without leg pains. By the 15th visit, the child had remained for the most part symptom-free for almost 3 weeks.

Cinnamon is a powerful spice that has been used medicinally around the world for thousands of years. As little as 1/2 of one teaspoon of cinnamon daily can have positive effects on blood sugar levels, digestion, immunity, and more. Stronger doses are also extremely beneficial for improving heart disease risk and cutting risk for diabetes, cancer, and neuro-degenerative diseases.
