Want to be happier? Help Someone: While we often think that we will be happier when we receive, the truth is we are happier when we give. This is also one of the most difficult things to apply. You can apply this by finding someone in need and lending a helping hand. The person could be your family, friend, or even a stranger. You could also donate to a charity. lifeoptimizer.org

Satellite images over China show a dramatic reduction in pollution after the coronavirus outbreak shut down large portions of the country's industry and travel. According to Nasa, the change was at least partly related to the economic slowdown caused by efforts to contain the virus. Closing industrial plants and urging people to stay home has led to sharp drops in the burning of fossil fuels, which is the world's largest greenhouse gas producer. In mid-February, scientists observed that the coronavirus put a stop to at least a quarter of China's greenhouse gas emissions in just two weeks. Maps from Nasa compare the pollution levels between the first three weeks of the year and February 10th -25th. Nasa scientists said the drop in pollution was first visible near Wuhan, the source of the outbreak, but ultimately spread across the country. Fei Liu, an air quality researcher at Nasa's Goddard Space Flight Center, said she had seen a decline in nitrogen dioxide levels during the economic recession of 2008 but said that decrease was more gradual. She added, "This is the first time I have seen such a dramatic drop-off over such a wide area for a specific event." healthnutnews.com

Chiropractic care can save you $$$... A study of 12,036 records in the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) investigated the costs of treating patients with low back and neck pain. The study estimated the costs for care among complementary and alternative medicine known as CAM (chiropractic, homeopathy, herbalism, acupuncture, and massage) for users relative to non-users. This study included a chiropractic-specific analysis of costs for chiropractic users versus non-users, as approximately 75% of all CAM services that were rendered by doctors of chiropractic. The analysis demonstrated that seeing a CAM/chiropractic provider did not add to overall medical spending. In fact, adjusted annual healthcare costs among chiropractic users were $424 lower for spine-related costs when compared to non-CAM users. Additionally, those who used complementary and alternative providers, including doctors of chiropractic, had significantly lower hospitalization costs. Who do you know that could benefit from chiropractic care? ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Just one lemon has more than 100% of your daily intake of vitamin C, which may help increase "good" HDL cholesterol levels and strengthen bones. Citrus flavonoids found in lemons may help inhibit the growth of cancer cells and act as an anti-inflammatory. Add a slice of lemon to your green tea. One study found that citrus increases your body's ability to absorb the antioxidants in the tea by about 80%! fitnessmagazine.com
