If you want to be happy, make someone else happy. If you want to find the right person in your life, be the right person. If you want to see change in the world, become the change you want to see. - Deepak Chopra

Certain chemicals, called obesogens, are endocrine disrupters, meaning they can interfere with hormones and may cause a range of health effects, including infertility and obesity. They’re found in plastic bottles, metal food cans, detergents, flame retardants, food, toys, cosmetics, and pesticides. Some obesogens can alter our gut biome, causing an imbalance of good and bad bacteria. What can you do? Replace non-stick cookware with stainless steel or cast iron. Don’t buy objects containing phthalates which can be in toys, soap, shampoo, water bottles, baby bottles, etc. Check the Environmental Working Group’s database to see how your choices rate. Avoid products containing bisphenol A (BPA) (usually in plastics like water bottles and food storage containers). If you just can’t give up your containers, just don’t heat food in them, which can release those chemicals. Reheat your food in glass and invest in stainless steel water bottles. Avoid canned foods if they aren’t marked BPA-free. Dust often (obesogens can concentrate in household dust) and use natural cleaning products like vinegar and baking soda when possible. Ventilate well. Eat organic.

Don't have a full hour+ for exercise? Piece your workout together. You don’t need to get all your exercise at one time. Ten minutes morning, noon, and night can give much of the same benefit as 30 minutes all at once

Our bodies are equipped with the amazing capability to self-heal by preventing and repairing damage done to the body. One powerful strategy to enhance this ability for our bodies to self-heal is chiropractic care. The complex network of activity that controls all functions within the body, including healing, is the central nervous system which consists of the brain and spinal cord. When the spinal bones are improperly aligned this causes a physical form of nerve stress that adversely impacts the body’s healing potential. Poor posture degrades the health of the spine and consequently leads to the degrading health of brain and organ function. Misalignment of the spine is called subluxation. Three of the most dangerous forms of subluxation include losing the arc of life in the neck, forward head posture, and scoliosis. Receiving frequent chiropractic adjustments helps to alleviate the built up pressure on the nervous system. As a result, the body is able to heal as it was intended. Who do you know that could benefit from chiropractic care?

Organic coconut water is low in calories and is a very potent source of electrolytes, such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium; and vitamins, minerals and other nutrients like lauric acid (one of the good fats). Coconut water supports healthy metabolism and has antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties, which boost the body’s immune system. Drinking coconut water regularly may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It can prevent cognitive decline as you age, support kidney and digestive health. It’s also a great sports and energy drink alternative.
