We also deliver free seminars regularly to help you and the general public make educated choices in restoring and maintaining your health and that of those you care about.

Dr. Karen Callaghan and Dr. Tony Holvick – met in chiropractic school. They got married after graduation and opened Atlantic County Family Spine in 1993. They’ve enjoyed watching patients they first treated as children grow. They're thrilled when they return from college to get adjusted and love when they start their own families and continue to come to us for care.

Karen M. Callaghan has been a practicing chiropractor and managing partner of Atlantic County Family Spine since 1993. She treats and manages at all four locations each week with her team of doctors and office staff members.

In 2010 Dr. Callaghan was named Chiropractor of the Year by the New Jersey Law Enforcement Journal for her outstanding care of fire, police, and other members of the first responder community. In 2011 she and her husband, Dr. Anthony Holvick, DC, were named to the list of "Top Docs" at NJTopDoc.com as a result of a review of criteria including their licenses and credentials, their dedication to continuing education, and overall patient satisfaction. They have continued to earn the NJTopDoc award every year since.

Atlantic County Family Spine has also been awarded 4 stars by Talk of the Town Media.

Dr. Callaghan is originally from Chicago and had the opportunity during her undergraduate studies to work for the Chicago White Sox, The Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks. During her time with the teams, she met the team chiropractor. She witnessed the athletes receiving treatment and their ability to return to the game and perform at their peak.

This inspired Dr. Callaghan so much that she decided to become a chiropractor so she too could help people achieve their maximum performance whether on the sports field or in any aspect of their life.

Dr. Callaghan has spent the last 30 years treating patients for spinal related conditions including headaches, neck, mid and lower back pain as well as extra spinal complaints such as hip and knee pain. The patients range in age from newborn to 95+ years old. Dr. Callaghan sees patients who present with sudden onset of pain to those that have chronic or long-term pain.

Volunteering is very important to Dr. Callaghan and she does a great deal of outreach in the community. Although she enjoys supporting many different charities, she devotes most of her charitable time with CASA. and currently holds a position on the board. CASA stands for court appointed special advocate and these advocates work with the foster child and they strive to deliver the best possible outcome for the child.

In addition to her work with CASA Dr. Callaghan delivers lectures in the community. She has addressed multiple police departments including at the Anthony Canale Police Training center and the Atlantic City Fire Department. She has also enjoyed speaking with several schools and the teachers on health-related topics. Many senior centers have also enjoyed having Dr. Callaghan as a keynote speaker.

Her practice, Atlantic County Family Spine has offices in Galloway, Egg Harbor Township, Atlantic City and Hammonton. Dr. Karen Callaghan and her team are experienced in treating those suffering from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents as well as sports-related, workplace, and in-home accidents. She and her team enjoy providing maintenance care to those patients dedicated to maintaining their health and mobility through regular chiropractic checkups. Her greatest joy in practice is the fact that she is now treating the children of patients who were originally children themselves when they first were adjusted by her and Dr. Holvick.

Anthony (Tony) Holvick D.C.

Primary Location: Galloway NJ & Atlantic City NJ

Dr. Anthony (Tony) Holvick, DC is the co-owner of Atlantic County Family Spine. Dr. Holvick grew up in Glassboro, NJ and attended Richard Stockton College in Pomona. He was first exposed to chiropractic through his uncle who is also a chiropractor.

Dr. Holvick was drawn to the philosophy of chiropractic and wanted to help others to regain their health through the power of chiropractic. Dr. Holvick attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA where he met fellow student, Dr. Karen Callaghan, who he married and who is his partner in Atlantic County Family Spine.

Dr. Anthony Holvick practiced from 1992-1993 in Philadelphia. In 1993 he opened up Atlantic County Family Spine where he has been co-owner and practiced over 29 years. Dr. Holvick is most commonly known as "Dr. Tony" by most of his patients. Many of these patients he has been treating for over 30 years. You will often see him flying around the office because he has tremendous energy for his patients and enjoys treating each and every one of them.

Dr. Tony is experienced in treating traumas and injuries such as motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls. He also treats many patients that have pain unrelated to trauma such as neck and back pain as well as headaches. He is also experienced in treating the extremities.

Dr. Anthony Holvick remains passionate about chiropractic and dedicated to his patients and as a result he has received the award of NJ TOPDOC consistently since 2011-2022. Dr. Tony is also very excited to have received the Best of the Press award for the last 5 years.

Dr. Tony is an avid outdoorsman and has been since he grew up working on a farm in Glassboro. He still enjoys working on his tractor. He spends most of his free time with his wife and son hunting and fishing around the world.

Jason Pagliarini D.C.

Primary Location: Egg Harbor Township NJ

Dr. Jason Pagliarini has helped serve the Southern New Jersey residents with his knowledge of the chiropractic arts for over 15 years now. Through hard work and dedication to his patient's health he has helped Atlantic County Family Spine become a go to staple for chiropractic care.

Dr. Pagliarini uses his chiropractic techniques to help people of all ages with their aches, pains, and even debilitating injuries. His outstanding reputations, exceptional patient care and feedback, and overall number of years in servitude, speak for the effectiveness of not only Dr. Pagliarini's work, but for the miracles of chiropractic medicine. However, success did not miraculously appear for Dr. Pagliarini overnight. It was a long and winding road of tedious study, continuing education, and trial and error that led to the chiropractic success that he has now.

Chiropractic essentially chose Dr. Jason through a very bad automobile accident. He was so grateful for what chiropractic did for him and he wanted to be able to pass on the benefits to others. It was because of this that he recognized chiropractic medicine's ability to give people a greater quality of life. This knowledge combined with his natural born desire to help others made chiropractic medicine an easy choice. He was blessed to know early in life what his career path would become. Dr. Pagliarini continues to expand his knowledge in the field, and is a member of the ANJC (Association of NJ Chiropractors).

Dr. Pagliarini graduated from Stockton College and then went on to Palmer Chiropractic College of Florida where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine in 2007. He has been with Atlantic County Family Spine since 2008. He has received skilled training in MRI interpretation and is a chiropractic sports physician. He has also received the Top Doc award of New Jersey. He is truly caring and compassionate to all his patients.
Dr. Pagliarini grew up in Franklinville, NJ and currently still resides there where most of his family is located. He is devoted to his wife Rachel and his two children Isabella and Angelo. He enjoys working out, running, helping his kids with their sports, anything related to sports and is an avid car lover/collector. A phrase that he lives by is "Everyday is a Gift" and "Tomorrow is not promised" so live every day to the fullest potential!

Thomas Vangi D.C.

Primary Location: Galloway NJ

Dr. Vangi is a native of New Jersey and has lived in Barnegat, New Jersey for most of his life. He became interested in chiropractic in high school when deciding on a career and being told the happiest man his dad knew was a chiropractor.

Dr. Vangi graduated from Stockton University in 1994 with a BS in chemistry and then from New York Chiropractic College in 1998. He practiced in Barnegat from 1998 until March 2021. Dr. Tom joined the team at Atlantic County Family Spine in 2021. Dr. Vangi is excited to treat patients naturally with chiropractic care. He is passionate about the drug free approach that chiropractic gives to the health and wellbeing of all his patients. Dr. Tom performs a variety of techniques including diversified adjustments, modified activator technique, Cox/Flexion/Distraction and intersegmental traction. Dr. Thomas Vangi continues to enhance his education through seminars and continuing ed. classes. He is an active member of the ANJC (Association of New Jersey Chiropractors).

When not caring for patients Dr. Tom spends his time with his wife and four children. Dr. Tom also enjoys reading and walking his dog.

His approach as a diversified practitioner integrates both time-tested and cutting-edge techniques, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Dr. Ed has enjoyed treating a patient base which has ranged from professional athletes to young athletes in little league, attesting to his versatility and commitment to optimal patient outcomes.

Dr. Lafferty's recent endeavor has brought him to Atlantic County Family Spine, where he is eager to share his wealth of experience and unbridled enthusiasm for patient care. Maria Torres, a South Jersey native, has been a part of the chiropractic field for over 9 years. Her journey began when she was recruited for a position as a front desk runner through an online job posting.

Despite having no prior knowledge of chiropractic, Maria eagerly embraced the opportunity and quickly immersed herself in the role. Working closely with the doctors, staff, and patients, she gained valuable experience and knowledge that propelled her career forward.

Within a short span of time, Maria's dedication and proficiency led to her promotion as the lead for the front desk. Recognizing her potential and commitment to holistic medicine, Dr. Karen and Dr. Tony presented her with the opportunity to participate in the Licensed Chiropractic Assistant program introduced by the state of New Jersey. Maria wholeheartedly accepted, further solidifying her belief in the power of holistic healthcare.

Before embarking on her chiropractic journey, Maria explored diverse professional avenues. At the age of 15, she joined the Galloway Twp. Police Explorers Post 276, where she served in law enforcement for 5 years. Engaged in community-oriented activities facilitated by the Explorers Post, Maria contributed significantly to initiatives like carnivals and National Night Out, accumulating over 2000 hours of community service. She also served as a seasonal officer at the Ocean City Police Department. However, it was during her time at a local hospital, where she worked as an Emergency Room Technician, that Maria discovered her true passion for healthcare.

In her free time, Maria treasures the moments spent with her son and family. They enjoy going on scooter rides and taking long walks with their beloved dogs. One of their favorite activities is visiting the local farm stand together, where they hand-pick fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods. When the weather is warm, they love exploring different flea markets. Maria also dedicates time to her personal well-being, engaging in regular workouts and indulging in her passion for reading. While she enjoys various types of literature, she takes great pleasure in diving into research material.

Patricia Bottigliero, known as "Patty," currently serves as a valued member of the Atlantic County Family Spine team. In her role, Patty takes exceptional care of our patients during their treatments, efficiently manages patient appointments, and oversees various office responsibilities.

Her journey with Atlantic County Family Spine began in March 2023, following her successful completion of the Licensed Chiropractic Assistant program introduced by the state of New Jersey. However, Patty is no newcomer to the world of chiropractic care, boasting a decade of experience in the field.

Outside of her professional life, Patricia's passions extend to the realm of martial arts. She dedicates her spare time to her jujitsu Academy, where she holds the esteemed rank of a blue belt and has been an enthusiastic practitioner for over two years. In addition to her martial arts pursuits, Patty finds immense joy in spending quality time with her cherished family and close-knit circle of friends.

Alicia Hernandez L.C.A.

Alicia, a native of Atlantic County, embodies dedication and ambition. Currently enrolled at ACCC, she's pursuing a degree in forensic psychology while serving dutifully in the National Guard, having been deployed to Kuwait in defense of our nation. Her resolute nature shines through as she balances her academic pursuits with her military responsibilities.

In 2023, Alicia expanded her horizons by undertaking studies to become a licensed chiropractic assistant, augmenting her skill set to provide therapeutic treatments and assist in patient examinations. Since 2020, she has been an integral part of the Atlantic County Family Spine team, where her commitment to excellence is evident.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Alicia is a fervent advocate for fitness, immersing herself in various exercise routines. She cherishes quality time spent with her parents and three siblings, showcasing her strong familial bonds and wholesome values.
