While the SARS-CoV-2 infection itself has been shown to be far less lethal than initially suspected, government responses to it have led to an epidemic of fear and stress, which can have serious health consequences. Did you know that, when you think a negative thought or when you feel fear, your cortisol level starts to rise and chronically high cortisol produces all kinds of ill effects in your body? Our brains are hard-wired and evolutionarily adapted to pay attention to potential threats. As a result, most of us need to train our brain to notice the positive and to feel gratitude. Dawson Church, Ph.D., is a leader in the energy psychology movement. EcoMeditation, developed by Dawson Church, Ph.D., incorporates several proven techniques shown to induce rapid changes in your brain to increase positivity and well-being. EcoMeditation includes tapping, neurofeedback techniques, mindfulness, HeartMath's quick coherence technique and various breathing techniques. When you do these together, they reinforce each other, stress is released, and cortisol levels reduce! To learn more, go to ecomeditation.com articles.mercola.com

Research suggests that regular cardio exercise can help with preventing skin aging, and also reverse it in people over 40. Regular exercisers who were over the age of 40 had skin that was closer in composition to that of a 20 or 30-year-old than to the non-exercisers their own age. well.blogs.nytimes.com

The following case studies are regarding five patients from one chiropractic office with the main concern of anxiety. Before and after care using specific assessments, heart rate variability (HRV) and thermography studies were performed. The patients, aged 24 to 53 years, also presented with a variety of musculoskeletal complaints. Chiropractic care was provided with a specific protocol for the assessment and correction of vertebral subluxation (misalignments). Visit schedules ranged from 6 to 12 weeks. The patients reported improvements in their presenting complaints and non-musculoskeletal symptoms. All five patients demonstrated clinically significant improvement in their assessment scores improving from moderate/severe anxiety to mild or mild/moderate, and reduction in dysautonomia (malfunction of the autonomic nervous system) as measured by HRV and thermography studies. Conclusion: This case series describes a reduction in severity of anxiety symptoms, as well as improved autonomic nervous system function measured through HRV and thermography, in 5 adult patients receiving chiropractic care. Who do you know that could benefit from Chiropractic care? vertebralsubluxationresearch.com

Barley's dietary fiber is high in beta glucan, which helps to lower cholesterol by binding to bile acids and removing them from the body via the feces. Bile acids are compounds used to digest fat that are manufactured by the liver from cholesterol. When they are excreted along with barley's fiber, the liver must manufacture new bile acids and uses up more cholesterol, thus lowering the amount of cholesterol in circulation. Soluble fiber may also reduce the amount of cholesterol manufactured by the liver. whfoods.com
