Don’t grow discouraged when things don’t happen as quickly as you want. Instead, focus on the fact that you are taking a step in the right direction each day. If you are better each day than you were the previous day, you will love the person you become when it is all said and done. lifehack.org

A common chemical called trichloroethylene (TCE) that has been used for many different reasons may be in your tap water and may increase your risk of Parkinson’s disease (PD). The January 2023 Journal of Parkinson’s Disease authors in this article conducted a thorough literature review and several case studies to conclude that the “ubiquitous chemical is contributing to the global rise of PD and that TCE is one of its invisible and highly preventable causes.” For well over a century, this chemical has been used for everything from dry cleaning clothes to removing paint to degreasing metal to decaffeinating coffee! Research also suggests that TCE contaminates up to one-third of U.S. groundwater and is found in 15 toxic Superfund sites in the Silicon Valley area as well as the notoriously contaminated Marine Corps base, Camp Lejeune. Already linked to health problems like congenital heart disease, miscarriages, and cancer, TCE has also been associated with a 500% increased risk of PD. Using water filters, ranging from countertop products to in-home installed water filtration systems like reverse osmosis, ion exchange, or distillation may help as well as Far Infrared saunas. naturalhealth365.com

When thinking of your long-term health goals, it’s essential to understand that spinal health is about more than getting rid of pain. Spinal health has a long-term impact on every function affected by the spinal nerves, which influence every organ system in your body. Breathing is a good example. A case published in the 1980’s involved a 53 yr. old man with a 20-year history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. More than 14 months after starting chiropractic care, the amount of air he was able to forcibly exhale in one complete breath ("forced vital capacity") and the amount of air he could move in the first second of that complete breath had both improved substantially (1 liter and 0.3 liters, respectively). This case is part of a growing body of literature indicating that improved spinal health through chiropractic care is often accompanied by improved lung volumes (and so much more!). Who do you know that could benefit from chiropractic care? dynamicchiropractic.com

Tapioca is obtained from the root of the cassava plant and has gained popularity because it is a gluten-free food, so it’s often used as a thickening agent instead of wheat-based fillers. Tapioca may have some other health benefits including an improvement in digestion, as a cholesterol-lowering agent, and as an aid in weight gain. It may also help in improving the metabolic activities, maintaining bone mineral density, and preventing neurodegenerative diseases. Only consume tapioca that has been prepared and packaged by reputable sources since it can be toxic if not properly prepared. organicfacts.net
