"When our commitment is wavering, the best way to stay on track is to consider the progress we've already made. As we recognize what we've invested and attained, it seems like a waste to give up, and our confidence and commitment surge." ~Adam M. A study by the U.S. FDA shows four common active ingredients in sunscreen: avobenzone, oxybenzone, octocrylene and ecamsule are absorbed into your blood at levels that could potentially pose health risks. Of the 16 active sunscreen ingredients used in products on the U.S. market, only two (non-nano-sized zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) have been deemed safe for human use by the FDA. According to the Environmental Working Group, oxybenzone "has been linked to allergies, hormone disruption, and cell damage. Another study published just one day earlier revealed that this chemical is linked to low birth weight in baby girls whose mothers are exposed during pregnancy. Despite the endocrine disrupting and neurotoxic effects of oxybenzone, its high absorbability, and the availability of safe sunscreens (those containing non-nano-sized zinc oxide and titanium dioxide), the FDA, American Academy of Dermatology and Consumer Reports urge people to continue using oxybenzone-containing sunscreen on a daily basis. While there are times when sunscreen may be necessary, they are widely overused and contribute to widespread vitamin D deficiency.  Sunscreen is rarely needed, provided you're following sensible sun exposure guidelines to prevent burning. Simply get out of the sun or wear clothing the moment your skin starts to turn light pink. articles.mercola.com

At breakfast, you can drink orange juice. But throughout the rest of the day, focus on water instead of juice or soda. The average person consumes an extra 245 calories a day from soft drinks. That's nearly 90,000 calories a year... or 25 pounds! rd.com

This is a case study of a 50-yr-old female with a 10-month history of being paralyzed on her left side following a hemorrhagic stroke. The cause of the stroke was iatrogenic (medically caused). Changes in posture, reduction in ranges of motion (ROM) in her neck and reduced left upper neck strength was found along with indicators of vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignments) throughout the spine. Chiropractic care was provided for the assessment and correction of vertebral subluxations. The patient reported improvement in strength and physical functioning and there was improvement in posture, cervical ROM, and muscle strength studies. The reduction of vertebral subluxations was also recorded. Conclusion: A course of chiropractic care for the assessment and correction of vertebral subluxation, was associated with improvement in motor function and a reduction in paralysis in a 50-year-old female following a hemorrhagic stroke. Who do you know that could benefit from chiropractic care?
