Too much screen time can be very problematic for children. As they are still learning and growing, too much time inside in front of screens from an early age can severely impact them as they get older. It can teach them bad habits and behaviors, lead to attention deficit disorders, increase their risk of becoming obese, limit their imagination and creativity, and a whole host of other mental and physical issues. Communities as well can suffer as a whole when people start spending more time inside. Nature is essential to keep communities sustainable, such as community gardens, trees to help cut down on pollution, habitats to protect local wildlife, and more. More time spent in nature can: Lower the risk of obesity; Improve sleep habits; Reduce behavioral problems; Boost productivity and academic performance; Improve imagination and innovation; Reduce mental health issues; Help with anxiety and stress, and improve overall physical and cognitive health outcomes.
In a new study involving people over 70 who have exercised regularly for years, scientists discovered that the participants’ hearts, lungs, and muscles were in equivalent shape to those of people in their 40s. Conversely, extended periods of inactivity can reduce metabolism and impair the body’s ability to control blood sugar levels, regulate blood pressure, and break down fat. One study analyzed data collected over 15 years and found that sedentary lifestyles were associated with an increased risk of early death regardless of physical activity levels.
Chiropractic care through pregnancy is not only safe, it’s essential. It's easy for all of us to see changes during pregnancy... increased pressure on the spine and pelvis toward the end of the pregnancy and changes in gait pattern: the "waddle."
