When thinking about future goals and ambitions, it’s easy to end up in quite a negative mood about the present. As well as thinking of what you might want to change, look at the areas of your life which are currently good. Such as: You get on well with your colleagues at work, and you’ve got a good relationship with your boss; You’ve got some real strengths, like being able to establish a quick connection with clients, and being organized; You’ve got some hobbies you really enjoy…and so on. Why not spend more time on your hobbies, or concentrate on your particular strengths at work?

The two types of people who should not get the flu vaccine do to ineffectiveness and possible risks: Seniors and Pregnant Women! Flu season is creeping up on us again and there are widespread calls to get your annual flu shot, despite the fact that, year after year, this strategy turns out to have an abysmal rate of effectiveness across the board. One group that consistently turns out to draw the short end of the stick when it comes to influenza vaccine failures is the elderly. U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data have repeatedly demonstrated that the flu vaccine does not work for seniors with an effectiveness rating of just 12% for those ages 65 and above. This is a recent case study on the positive health outcomes following chiropractic care experienced by a seven-year-old boy with autism. The boy went to a chiropractic clinic with chief complaints of stimming, poor social skills, lack of comprehension, and decreased executive function. He was diagnosed as autistic at the age of three years and nine months. He received chiropractic care, starting off with very gentle chiropractic techniques and cranial adjustments. Exercises to inhibit persistent primitive reflexes were given for the patient to do at home. The mother reported improvement of the autistic behavior after less than three months of chiropractic care. Conclusion: This case study demonstrates the relationship between chiropractic care and decrease in autistic symptoms. Although multiple case and clinical studies show positive outcomes between chiropractic care and autism, further research should be conducted.
