Tidbit #1: How to Overcome Obstacles:

It's easy to get distracted. There is always a fire to put out or a new critical opportunity to distract you. True discipline is about emotionally committing time and effort regardless of external factors. Make yourself accountable for your actions with what the late, great Chet Holmes called "Pig-Headed Discipline." Clear out every distraction and vow to add nothing new to your plate until you make progress. Make the obstacle the No. 1 priority and focus on it every day until it's gone

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to purchase and to immediately stop using 26 over-the-counter eye drop products due to the potential risk of eye infections that could result in partial vision loss or blindness. Patients who have signs or symptoms of an eye infection after using these products should talk to their health care provider or seek medical care immediately. These products are marketed under the following brands: CVS Health; Leader (Cardinal Health); Rugby (Cardinal Health); Rite Aid; Target Up & Up; Velocity Pharma. These products are intended to be sterile. Ophthalmic drug products pose a potential heightened risk of harm to users because drugs applied to the eyes bypass some of the body’s natural defenses. Research has shown that physical activity (exercise and sports) can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and early death. Combining a variety of cardiovascular exercises with strength-training exercises is best. Going for at least three 30-minute brisk walks and doing two 30-minute sessions of strength-training exercises per week would be sufficient to meet the minimum physical activity guidelines.

Recording artist and World Wrestling ringmaster Lilian Garcia's pollen, dust, and food allergies were getting her down. Her allergies were even affecting her job as her voice wasn't achieving optimal performance. But while she was cutting a record with singer-songwriter Jon Secada, he suggested chiropractic care. Garcia set up an appointment. The test came soon after she started regular chiropractic care, during a moment of weakness in the mall. "I saw an ice cream cone and I went for it," Garcia remembers. "I ate two and I had zero complications. It was my first ice cream cone in 12 years. Something's flowing better." Many factors affect the body's ability to maintain optimal balance. Nutrition, posture, exercise, stress, and fatigue are important, but so is the health of your spine. Who do you know that could benefit from chiropractic care?

The fruit and leaves of the graviola-soursop tree are used to relieve digestive ailments (including diarrhea), pain, fever, hypertension, inflammation, coughs, and asthma, among many other medical afflictions. A tea made from the leaves has been reported to have a soothing and calming action, especially for insomnia and nervous disorders, but should not be used in small children. Some studies have shown that the plant’s active ingredients possess antioxidant, anticancer, anticonvulsant, anti-arthritic, anti-parasitic, anti-malarial, liver protective and anti-diabetic effects. Graviola / Soursop extracts have a promising potential for treating gastric ulcers.
